我是 ADE
I'm Ade. Nigerian by origin, China shaped, now based in Toronto with a camera glued to my hand. I spent a few years in 沈阳 (Shenyang), eating way too much 外卖 (takeout), getting lost in side streets, and quietly falling in love with how light hits real people in real spaces. Covid pushed me to pick up a camera "just to escape for a bit," and somewhere between shooting friends in tiny apartments and empty streets, it stopped being a hobby and started feeling like the thing.
These days I work as a film director and photographer, mostly living in that space between cinematic and real life. I care about clean frames, honest expressions, and sound that doesn't feel like it was recorded in a tunnel. I like building small, focused worlds: a gym that feels like pressure and discipline, a café that feels like warmth, a downtown street that feels like motion. Whether it ends up as a short film, a brand piece, or a 15 second clip on Reels, the goal is the same: it should feel true.
Toronto is home base now, but the way I see things is still a mix of Lagos energy, China quiet, and Canadian winter patience. My work sits somewhere between 稳重 (grounded, steady) and 折腾 (restless, always trying something new). If that mix of mood, culture, and camera work speaks to you, keep scrolling.
